Who qualifies for the Slack for Education discount?
Nonprofit educational institutions, accredited primary/secondary/tertiary institutions, faculty groups, alumni associations, fraternities/sororities, athletic associations, financial aid organizations, student housing groups, and school districts.
Are hospitals or government offices eligible?
No. Affiliated hospitals, medical centers, patient care facilities, and federal/state government offices like Departments of Education are not eligible.
How long does the review process take?
The Slack team reviews applications as quickly as possible, but processing times may vary. You can continue using the free version while waiting.
Can students under 16 use Slack?
No. Per Slack Terms of Service, anyone under the age of 16 may not use Slack.
What documents are needed for the application?
You will need documents confirming your nonprofit or accredited status, such as a letter from a tax service, school administrator, or dean. Personal IDs and website screenshots are not sufficient.
